Why there is no honest per-square-foot rate

Two offices of identical size can take very different hours to clean: layout, headcount, toilets and pantries, carpet versus vinyl, and after-hours access all move the number. Companies that quote a flat rate sight unseen either pad the price to cover surprises or cut corners when the surprises arrive. What a legitimate quote must cover
